Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin has decided to buy a 10% stake in E-Mart held by his mother, Lee Myung-hee.
E-Mart announced the plan in a public announcement today (10th) and said it is a measure to further strengthen responsible management based on performance-based management.
He also explained that buying a stake in E-Mart by investing personal assets in an uncertain environment at home and abroad is a move that shows the market a strong sense of responsibility and confidence in enhancing corporate value.
