The general independent counsel law, the Kim Gun-hee independent counsel law, and the so-called "Both Special Prosecutors Act," which returned to the National Assembly due to the veto of Acting President Choi Sang-mok, were rejected in a re-election vote.
The opposition party said it would immediately revise the special prosecution law and reissue it, but some predict that if the ruling party responds, it will be able to open the negotiations.

The Insurrection Special Prosecutor Act and the Special Prosecutor Act of Kim Gun-hee were rejected by two and four votes short of 200 votes, respectively, in the re-voting.
[Won-Sik Woo / National Assembly Speaker: (The Special Prosecutor's Office Act) declares that out of the 300 total votes cast, 196 votes, 103 votes for wealth, and 1 vote for invalidity.]
With the ruling camp's departure of more than eight votes essential for passage, the People's Power maintained its "no-go" party theory in the existing vote at the general meeting of lawmakers.
This is because it is unconstitutional to recommend a special prosecutor candidate only in the opposition party.
[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader: It is aimed at destroying the entire conservative right and people's power by raising the people's power to infinity.]
The Democratic Party of Korea immediately condemned the people's power, saying, "Like Sodom and Gomorrah," which was ruined because there were no 10 righteous people.
It also announced that it would immediately reissue the special prosecutor's office by adding suspicions of "foreign exchange attraction" that it had induced North Korea's provocations.
[Park Chan-dae / Minjoo Party floor leader: There will be only anti-state forces or accomplices in the civil war who dream of becoming a lawless dictatorship.]
The Democratic Party of Korea, however, raised the pressure, saying it would propose a revision to adopt a third-party recommendation method that the ruling party has demanded in the event of a recurrence.
[Kang Yoo-jung / Minjoo Party spokesperson: It is difficult to review words. I don't know if there will be room for review if (the ruling party) brings the amendment.]
Within the power of the people, discussions such as issuing their own amendments are erupting, and as it is not yet a mainstream opinion, the progress of negotiations should be watched.
[Park Soo-min / People's Power Floor Spokesperson: (Amendment at the General Assembly)] There was a discussion. However, since the first priority is to reject the unconstitutional bill for the sake of the people and the constitutional order, it will be rejected today....]
At the plenary session, the so-called "Four Agricultural Laws," the National Assembly Act, and the National Assembly Testimony Appraisal Act, which were vetoed when Han Deok-soo was acting, were all rejected and discarded in a re-vote.
