Rep. Jeong Il-young of the Democratic Party of Korea proposed a bill that would prevent him from refusing to execute a search warrant if he is investigated for rebellion and foreign exchange.
Lawmaker Chung issued a press release, argued that President Yoon Suk Yeol's "evidence-destroying trick" should be blocked, and said that he has issued an amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act for this purpose.
The amendment stipulated that even places requiring military secrets cannot refuse to execute warrants if they are investigated for rebellion or foreign exchange under the criminal law.
