Israeli media reported on the 8th that the United States and Arab countries have begun secret talks with Iran for a ceasefire on all fronts in the Middle East.

Channel 12 reported that Israel is not currently involved in the talks, but that senior officials have been notified.

"Israel has the upper hand, and a ceasefire that includes withdrawing Hezbollah from areas near Lebanon's border and dismantling all military bases will be our condition," a senior Israeli official said.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah's second-in-command, Naim Qasem, also said in a speech on the 8th that he supports Lebanon's political activities in the name of a ceasefire, leaving room for ceasefire negotiations.

Channel 12 observed, however, that it was unclear how behind-the-scenes negotiations between the U.S. and Arab countries and Iran would affect Gaza.

Israel wants to continue fighting Hamas after the hostage negotiations, and Hamas is demanding the withdrawal of Israeli troops, which is more complicated than other fronts.
