This is because the oil tax cut will be reduced from next month. In the case of gasoline, the adjustment from 20% to 15% will increase by about 42 won per liter, and diesel will be reduced from 30% to 23%, increasing by 41 won per liter. LPG butane is also expected to increase by 14 won per liter.

This cut will take effect for two months until the end of December. Previously, the oil tax cut was scheduled to end this month, but the decision was made to extend it further due to growing uncertainties in international oil prices.

◇ Choi Soo-young: If international oil prices rise due to intensifying tensions in the Middle East, will this reduction be more felt?

◆ Lee Hyun-woong: Until last week, international oil prices were on the decline. At the same time, gasoline and diesel prices at domestic gas stations have also fallen for 11 consecutive weeks.

However, the recent rise in international oil prices is expected to be greater as tensions in the Middle East have been highlighted, and the oil tax cut has been reduced.

For gasoline, the national average is expected to rise again to around 1,600 won, and diesel is expected to gradually approach 1,500 won.

There were also expectations that this time, we would be able to achieve '100,000 Electronics', which we unfortunately did not achieve in 2021. But then the stock moved in the opposite direction to expectations.

The news of the long-awaited passage of the Nvidia quality inspection was not reported, and the stock price fell to the 50,000 won range due to various rumors of a crisis. Recently, it has been hitting a new 52-week low. At the beginning of today's market, it fell to 57,100 won, another new low.

Fortunately, it has turned upward since then. However, the fact that foreign investors continue to net-sell Samsung Electronics is raising concerns. It is currently setting a record for the longest net selling ever, and if it ends with net selling by today, it will be the 31st day.

Although it varies slightly from announcement to announcement, the average purchase unit price of individual investors ranges from 60,000 won to 70,000 won, and a securities company's announcement shows that 90% of individual investors are losing money.

Yesterday, an exhibition opening ceremony was held at COEX, where Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee attended. Journalists asked questions about semiconductor sluggishness and falling stock prices, but they avoided answering and remained silent. A "partial amendment to the Enforcement Rules of the Road Traffic Act" was deliberated and decided yesterday, which allows electric vehicles to be placed at the driver's license test site. It will be implemented at the end of the year after pre-announcement of legislation and review by the Ministry of Legislation.

From next year at the earliest, you can take a function test with an electric vehicle and get a license. The purpose is to reflect the increasing trend of electric vehicle drivers and increase the introduction of eco-friendly cars.

I also adjust the scoring standards. For example, in the case of internal combustion engines, there is an item that deducts 5 points for every engine rotation above 4,000 rpm, but since electric vehicles do not have such engines, we will supplement them in other ways.

Some people who have obtained a driver's license with an existing internal combustion engine are somewhat awkward or have difficulty adapting when purchasing an electric car for the first time or using it as a rental. If electric vehicles are introduced in the functional test, this problem is expected to be reduced.

◆ Lee Hyun-woong: Yes. According to statistics from the National Police Agency, the first license acquisition of teenagers and 20s has plummeted in the past five years. Compared to 2019, the number of teenagers decreased by 18.7% and the number of teenagers in their 20s decreased by 13.2%. Even considering the size of the population decline, there is an analysis that it has decreased significantly.

Experts analyze that transportation policies have had an impact. As public transportation convenience has increased and transportation such as shared kickboards and bicycles has increased, young people's desire to obtain a license has decreased.

As a result, driver's license academies were directly hit. Recently, as the number of academy students has plummeted, more and more regular instructors are reduced and part-time instructors are hired only during vacation.

This is because there are still many cases where trees have a blue appearance. According to the 'Yumyeongsan Mountain Maple Status' data from the Korea Meteorological Administration yesterday, 12 out of 21 mountains in the country have not yet blossomed.

The reason is, of course, the abnormal climate. It is analyzed as the effect of trees continuing to produce chlorophyll due to the unusually long heat wave.

Fall foliage doesn't just play a role in entertaining our eyes. There is also a prospect that the late colored foliage can adversely affect the ecosystem.
