spoke to Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau by phone today (30th) and explained that the North Korean military's actual deployment to Ukraine is a severe situation that can take place faster than expected.
He also said that South Korea will send a government representative to support the reconstruction of Ukraine to the "official ministerial-level meeting for peace in Ukraine" to be held in Canada soon.President
Yoon stressed that defense cooperation is important for the two countries to promote comprehensive security cooperation, and that he hopes Korean companies will participate in Canada's defense enhancement project to strengthen reciprocal cooperation.
He added that he hopes the high-level security dialogue between the two countries will be institutionalized in the wake of the first "Foreign and Defense 2+2 Ministerial Meeting" to be held in Ottawa, Canada, on the 1st of next month.
Trudeau said the North Korean military's dispatch of troops to Russia would likely intensify the war in Ukraine, and said the two countries should work closely together and respond as it would affect security in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region as a whole.
