Public Health Penalty in 20s Fleeing After Accident While Driving Backward

The Cheongju District Court fined A, in his 20s, 20 million won, who was handed over to trial on charges of driving the wrong way, causing an accident and abandoning his car.

The court said that A had fled after causing an accident, but considered confessing to the crime and reaching an amicable agreement with the victim.

In January, A ran away after hitting an oncoming car while driving backwards in Namil-myeon, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, and turned himself in to the police within 10 hours.
