background
The National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information, Broadcasting and Communications Committee decided to hold a two-day confirmation hearing for Park Jang-beom, presidential candidate of the Korea Broadcasting Corporation (KBS), on November 18-19.

When Choi Min-hee, chairman of the National Defense Agency, said he would schedule the hearing for two days, the ruling and opposition parties fiercely confronted. In particular, the ruling party strongly took issue with the rescheduling just before the start of the meeting.

Choi Hyung-doo, secretary of the People's Power, protested, saying, "How can you change your schedule and announce it two minutes before the start of the meeting? It will be recorded as the worst history of over-defense."

In response, Kim Hyun, secretary of the Democratic Party of Korea, responded, "It is the authority of the National Assembly to find out the brutality of the Yoon Suk Yeol government trying to dominate the broadcast," adding, "It is carried out according to due process."

As a result of the vote, the adoption of the personnel hearing implementation plan was approved with 11 votes in favor. As a result, the hearing will be held on the 18th with questions about candidate Park Jang-beom and on the 19th with witnesses and reference.
