Biden Calls to Celebrate Trump Elections...a proposal for a White House meeting

U.S. President Joe Biden called former President Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory in the presidential election and to hold a meeting at the White House in the near future.

President Biden promised former President Trump to cooperate for a smooth transition of power, and stressed the importance of national unity, the White House said.

President Biden also called Vice President Harris and encouraged her to hold a historic campaign.

President Biden will soon speak to the nation about the outcome of the election and the transition of power.
