The Army says it has provided two Korean War veterans with new homes in Turkiye.
The applicants include veterans Kadir Cholak, 93, and Mustafa Kurt, 94, who lost their homes in the Turkiye earthquake in February last year and were temporarily living in containers and their children's homes.
The completion ceremony was held on the previous day with Army and Turkiye military officials attending, and Army Personnel Commander Shin Eun-bong said he wished Turkiye veterans who devoted themselves to our country more than 70 years ago to be happy in their new homes.
Since 2011, the Army has been carrying out a project to improve the living conditions of veterans of the Korean War and Vietnam War.
