A fire broke out at 9:10 p.m. last night (14th) at an auto parts processing company in Seongseo Industrial Complex in Jang-dong, Daegu, and was extinguished in five hours.

All of the 20 employees were evacuated and no one was injured, but as the fire grew due to combustible substances such as thinner stored in the factory, the first stage of response was once taken to mobilize all personnel and equipment from nearby fire stations.

The fire extinguished the fire by mobilizing an "unmanned destructive waterproof vehicle" that pumps water through iron plates and concrete.

Police and fire authorities plan to conduct a joint inspection this morning (15th) to investigate the exact cause of the fire based on workers' statements that the fire started when sparks flew in the dust during work.
