Peru "South Korean arrested for attempting to take out 320 tarantulas"

A Korean man in his 20s has been arrested for illegally trying to take out wild animals such as tarantulas from Peru, Reuters reported, citing local media.

The man was caught at Lima Airport while trying to hide 320 tarantulas, 110 centipedes, and nine bullet ants in the belly band.

Peruvian prosecutors investigated the man's acquisition of the animals, seized them and handed them over to wildlife protection authorities.

Peruvian authorities estimate that the endangered wildlife smuggling market is worth millions of dollars worldwide.
