A North Korean control and management center has been established in the Kursk region of Russia, where North Korean troops are deployed, Ukrainian Ambassador to South Korea Dmytro Ponomarenko told VOA, Voice of America.
In an interview conducted on the 14th, Ambassador Ponomarenko said for the first time that the conflict with the North Korean military has already occurred and that a North Korean control and management center is being established in the Kursk region, including seven North Korean generals.
At the same time, the number of North Korean soldiers is expected to increase to 15,000, saying that there are already 10,000 North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region.
Ambassador Ponomarenko said he is in close consultation with South Korea to ensure that the Ukrainian government delegation's visit to Korea will take place soon, and explained that the delegation will meet with South Korean officials in the near future.
