North Korea and Russia have signed the 11th session of the Economic Joint Committee, which encompasses trade and science and technology, the Korean Central News Agency reported.
At the signing ceremony held at Mansudae yesterday, North Korean Foreign Minister Yun Jeong-ho and Russian Minister of Natural Resources Aleksandro Kozlov signed the protocol and Russian Ambassador to North Korea also attended.
North Korea did not disclose the contents of the protocol, but Russian media reported that the two sides agreed to increase charter flights and establish a Russian language education center.
Minister Kozlov visited Prime Minister Kim Deok-hoon at the Mansu Grand Parliament yesterday and returned home by air.
In addition, the news agency reported that the Pyongyang City Committee of the North Korean Workers' Party, which visited Russia, signed an agreement on exchanges and cooperation with the Moscow branch of the ruling Russian Party on the 19th.
