White House national security adviser nominee Mike Waltz, who will oversee foreign policy for the second Trump administration, said the war in Ukraine must be reasonably ended.

Waltz said in a Fox News interview on the 24th local time that the situation is getting worse, with the U.S. responding to North Korea's move, Russia responding, and South Korea considering intervention.

In addition, Trump said he was very concerned about where the escalation of tensions would lead, and stressed that he was clear about the need to end the dispute.

Waltz explained that he is still closely discussing with the current Biden administration how and who to bring to the negotiating table and what form of negotiation, whether it's an agreement or a ceasefire.

As for the Middle East, a peace agreement was signed four years ago during Trump's first term, but he said, "Look at what happened now," and expected that Trump would quickly return to the same situation as then when he took office.
