The Cheongju District Court is conducting a pre-arrest interrogation of a mother in her 30s who is suspected of killing her child at a postpartum care center.

A is accused of killing a week-old baby with arm disabilities at a postpartum care center in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, on the 10th of last month.

Mr. A reportedly stated in a police investigation that the child was dead in a prone position, but it was found in a mobile phone seized by the police that Mr. A and his wife conspired to kill the child.

It is expected that A's arrest will be decided as early as this evening.

Mr. A's husband, who faces the same charges as his wife, was booked without detention.
