Prosecutors sentenced Park Young-soo to 12 years in prison for the former special prosecutor of the '5 billion club'...The first trial will be sentenced in February next year.

Prosecutors have demanded a heavy sentence for former special prosecutor Park Young-soo, who was indicted on the so-called "5 billion club" allegations.

The prosecution asked the court to sentence former special prosecutor Park to 12 years in prison, a fine of 1.6 billion won, and a fine of 1.75 billion won in the first trial held at the Seoul Central District Court today (28th).

The prosecution said former special prosecutor Park is guilty of undermining the integrity and trust of financial institution executives in job fairness.In his final statement, former special prosecutor Park

said that he did not live greedy enough to deny his life, but he suffered a lot from the fact that he was accused of a crime and caused trouble in court.

Park served as an outside director and chairman of Woori Bank's board of directors from 2014 to the following year, and was handed over to trial on charges of accepting 800 million won in promises of buildings worth 20 billion won in exchange for consortium requests from private businesses in Daejang-dong.
