The court has recognized the effectiveness of Yonsei University's occasional essay examination.
The Seoul High Court announced today (3rd) that it will cancel the decision of the first trial in connection with the case of an injunction to suspend the validity of Yonsei University's essay examination.
The candidate's application for provisional injunction was rejected.
The court explained that the selection method, such as the passing of private schools, is a discretionary act that educational institutions can comprehensively consider to achieve educational purposes.
He also added that even if there was insufficient response in the course of the essay test operation in this case, autonomy needs to be recognized if it is within the scope of not seriously undermining fairness.
Considering the average score of the test site and the lack of explanation for external leakage, it was determined that the fairness of the test did not appear to have been significantly damaged by the pre-distribution and collection of questionnaires.
