The treaty signed in June by North Korea and Russia has officially entered into force, with the content of restoring the military alliance.

The Korean Central News Agency reported yesterday (4th) that Moscow exchanged the ratification of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Kim Jung-kyu signed the ratification exchange protocol on the North Korean side and Russia's Vice Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko signed the ratification agreement, which took effect on the 4th when the ratification was exchanged.

The news agency said the new treaty is a legal foundation for the leadership of the two countries to build a strong country while firmly protecting the safety environment of the region and the world and realizing the people's aspirations.

The treaty signed by Kim Jong-il and Putin in Pyongyang in June stipulates that if one country is in a state of war, the other will provide military support.
