GTX-A Line Unjeong-Seoul Station section opens on the 28th

The section from Unjeong Central Station to Seoul Station, the northern section of the GTX-A line of the metropolitan express railway, will open on the 28th.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that the opening of the GTX-A Unjeong Jungang-Seoul Station section will significantly reduce the travel time from up to 90 minutes to 22 minutes, which will dramatically improve transportation convenience in the northwestern part of the Seoul metropolitan area.

In order to increase the convenience of users in the new opening section, trains will be intensively deployed during commuting hours, and trains will be operated at intervals of 6 minutes and 15 seconds, he said.

GTX-A previously opened the Suseo-Dongtan section of the southern section on March 30, followed by an additional opening of its constituent station on June 29.

To commemorate the opening of the Unjeong Jungang-Seoul Station section, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will hold a ceremony and test drive event with local residents, and those who wish to test drive can apply through the GTX-A website (www.gtx-a.com ) for five days from the 16th.
