The Ministry of Foreign Affairs investigates the fact that the deputy spokesperson distributed the position of "advocacy of martial law."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched an investigation into Yoo Chang-ho, a deputy spokesman, who conveyed to foreign reporters his position advocating the declaration of martial law during the emergency martial law crisis.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lee Jae-woong said in a regular briefing that investigations are being conducted against Deputy Spokesperson Yoo, including finding out the facts.

A Foreign Ministry official said Yoo is currently in a normal state of work, and explained that he has not been excluded from his job yet, and that the results of the investigation will also determine whether to take personnel measures.

Deputy Spokesperson Yoo was previously found to have sent foreign reporters a statement to Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of emergency martial law, such as the president's decision to worship the liberal democratic constitutional order or that it was an inevitable response.

In this regard, Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol promised a fact-finding investigation, saying that he was not briefed in advance and did not agree with the contents when the problem was pointed out at the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee.

Yoo explained that he did it on a personal level at the request of a person he knew when he worked in the presidential office.
