Kwon Sung-dong, floor leader of the People's Power Party, and Park Chan-dae of the Democratic Party of Korea, held a war of words over major issues surrounding the martial law at the first meeting presided over by National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik.Floor leader

Park called for the opening of a special committee on the parliamentary investigation into the civil war and the launch of a special committee on personnel hearings for constitutional judges, saying he hopes the people who sympathized with President Moon Yoon Suk Yeol will clean up their sins.

Then floor leader Kwon responded that the Democratic Party of Korea has been consistent with political offensive even in the meeting, and that before the National Assembly passed the presidential impeachment bill, the Democratic Party of Korea overused its legislative power to cover the crime of Chairman Lee Jae-myung.

After the meeting, Park Sung-joon, deputy floor leader of the Democratic Party, said he would hold a plenary session of the National Assembly on the 27th after holding a confirmation hearing for three candidates for constitutional judges recommended by the National Assembly from the 23rd to the 24th.

On the other hand, Park Hyung-soo, the deputy floor leader of the People's Power, said he would not participate in the hearing, sticking to the position that the acting president cannot appoint a constitutional judge and that the plenary session should be discussed again on the 27th.
