The People's Power, which launched a transition to the emergency committee system after the resignation of Han Dong-hoon's leadership, will hold an emergency general meeting today (18th) to continue discussions on the appointment of the emergency committee chairman.

Earlier, at the general meeting of lawmakers on the 16th, they could not reach a conclusion on the opinion that experienced party members, led by senior lawmakers, are suitable and that floor leader Kwon Sung-dong will concurrently serve as the chairman of the emergency committee for a certain period of time.

This is the sixth emergency committee since the launch of the People's Power and the fifth since the Yoon Suk Yeol government came to power.
