Prosecutors seek an arrest warrant for a judge who is accused of violating the Political Fund Act.

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office today (18th) requested an arrest warrant for a judge, identified only by his surname Jeon, who is suspected of violating the Political Fund Act.

Prosecutors believe Jeon, known as a shaman, received hundreds of millions of won in illegal political funds from politicians during the 2018 local elections.

Jeon was once known to have been active in Yoon Suk Yeol's presidential campaign in 2022, sparking controversy.

At that time, President Yoon explained that Jeon had only received the title and had never actually worked in the camp.

The substantive examination of the arrest warrant for Jeon will be held tomorrow (19th) at 10:30 a.m. at the Seoul Southern District Court.
