The People's Power criticized Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea for receiving a notice of receipt of litigation records in as many as three times, saying he expressed strong regret over the court staff eventually coming to the National Assembly.

Joo Jin-woo, chairman of the party's legal advisory committee, said Lee's deliberate delay in trial should be subject to a substantial penalty, or disadvantage, and that he submitted an additional petition calling for the court's active exercise of legal command.

The petition said that if the trial period changes depending on social status, public trust will fall, and asked to abide by the Public Official Election Act's sentencing rule, "within three months after the previous ruling."

Representative Joo also pointed out that the court should not be assigned a public defender who is operated by taxpayers' money, saying that the representative Lee delayed the appointment of a lawyer.
