Yoon Suk Yeol's president has repeatedly insisted that he has never ordered the arrest of politicians after declaring an emergency martial law.

He also strongly denied the charge of rebellion, saying that he had never even mentioned similar words in his mouth, but that there was a rebellion that forewarned and executed.

Reporter Kim Chul-hee reports.

Lawyer Seok Dong-hyun, who is known to communicate with the president and provide legal advice, met with reporters again in two days.

At the meeting, lawyer Seok said the president never ordered to "arrest key figures" or "bring lawmakers out of the Capitol."

[Seok Dong-hyun / Presidential Legal Advisory: The President is also a lawyer. I heard that you never used such terms as arrest or drag them down. Not only has the president never talked about the "sieve" of arrest...]

Rather, lawyer Seok claims that the president ordered only the minimum number of unarmed troops to be deployed and asked not to clash with citizens.

He also stressed that it does not make sense to foreshadow a civil war in advance, saying that the declaration of martial law was broadcast live.

[Seok Dong-hyun / Presidential Legal Advisory: I saw it as a catastrophic emergency, so I think it's necessary to normalize the state of affairs and I think I exercised my authority as president]

Since then, the president has followed all constitutional procedures, including lifting martial law at the request of the National Assembly.

But he declined to comment when asked why he was not served with the Constitutional Court papers and whether he was delaying the appointment of a lawyer to delay the investigation.
