Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon expressed his position on the alleged poor service of social service personnel of group WINNER Song Min-ho.
Mayor Oh said on his Facebook account on the 24th, "There has been a controversy over the negligence of a celebrity who recently worked as a social service worker," adding, "We ordered an emergency investigation into the service status of social service personnel to the Seoul Metropolitan Government and its affiliated organizations."
Mayor Oh then said, "The majority of agents will faithfully fulfill their military service obligations by protecting the daily lives of citizens in their positions," but stressed, "Some negligence in service should never cause social deprivation and increase antipathy to military service obligations."
He added, "We will take stern measures according to the results of the investigation and actively recommend the Military Manpower Administration to improve the system for fair military service obligations if necessary."
Earlier, Dispatch raised suspicions that Song Min-ho served as a social service worker at Mapo-gu Office in Seoul, manipulating commuting records and leaving office during working hours. As a result, the Military Manpower Administration and the police have launched an investigation.
