While strong wind warnings were in effect in some parts of Jeollanam-do, forest authorities warned against a series of wildfires.
A forest fire broke out in Nam-myeon, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do at around 10:40 last night (27th).
At around 5:40 p.m., a fire broke out in the hills of Munpyeong-myeon, Naju-si, and was extinguished in about 50 minutes.
Prior to this, a forest fire also broke out in Byeolyang-myeon, Suncheon-si at around 1:40 p.m. and was extinguished in about an hour.
The Korea Forest Service asked for thorough management of embers, saying that if strong winds blow, even small embers can spread to large wildfires.
