The flight recorder and voice recorder, which are the black boxes of the Jeju Air passenger plane in the accident, will be key clues to determine the cause of the disaster.
With some discussing the possibility of damage, the possibility of analysis is expected to be confirmed today.
Reporter Kim Dae-geun reports.
[Report]
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will move the black box of the aircraft to the Gimpo Airport Test and Analysis Center today (30th) to see if it is possible to analyze it.
Aircraft black boxes refer to flight recorders and voice recorders.
The flight recorder contains the flight path and the operation status of each device, showing the movement of the plane, such as the altitude and speed of the plane.
The voice recorder records conversations, various alarm sounds, and communication contents of the crew in the control room.
As such, the two devices are considered key clues to identify the condition and situation of the aircraft at the time of the accident and to determine the cause.
While some are talking about the possibility of damaging the flight recorder,
Some predict that it could take more than six months to decipher the black box because the U.S. National Transportation Safety Commission should be investigated if the
damage is severe.
There is also concern that if the detoxification work of the two devices, which is in the early stages of the investigation, is delayed, it could also affect the entire investigation process.
While the clear cause of the disaster is still unclear, attention is being paid to whether the black box of the Jeju Air passenger plane is analytical and the results of the inspection.
