The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will conduct a special inspection of the Boeing B737-800, the aircraft that crashed at Muan Airport.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it sent an official letter to the airline this morning.
He also explained that he dispatched an aviation safety supervisor to Jeju Air to investigate the emergency return of the same type of Jeju Air plane due to landing gear problems a day after the Muan Airport plane accident.
There are 101 Boeing B737-800s operating in Korea, such as the accident model.
