The "2024 MBC Music Festival" will be canceled.

MBC announced today (30th) that the live broadcast of the "2024 MBC Music Festival" scheduled for 8:40 p.m. on December 31 will be canceled and replaced with a recorded broadcast.

"This recording broadcast will cancel the New Year's countdown event and reduce additional events to reflect the mood of mourning, and minimize the stage of artists prepared with all their heart and soul," he said.

The schedule for the recorded broadcast will be announced separately later.

179 people were killed in an accident during the landing of a Jeju Air flight at Muan Airport on the morning of the 29th. The government said it will set a seven-day national mourning period until 24:00 on January 4, 2025.
