Five people are missing in the capsized 83-ton ship in the West Sea of South Chungcheong Province, and the Coast Guard is working on the rescue.
Taean Maritime Police Station said yesterday (30th) at around 6:30 p.m., a "chado ship" carrying vehicles or cargo overturned in waters near Gopado Island, Palbong-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do.
It is estimated that there were about seven people on board, but two were rescued, but five have yet to be found.
The Coast Guard has dispatched patrol ships and aircraft to the scene to search for them, but they are having difficulty in the search as the current intensifies due to the rising tide.
The capsized ship is operated by a marine environment maintenance company, and it is known that it was on its way back from the construction of the Udo Fishing Village New Deal Project.
In this regard, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Robber asked the Korea Coast Guard to do its best to save and search lives by mobilizing all available means and to ensure the safety of the searchers.
