Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently wrote an article in support of the German far-right party in the German media, creating a huge stir.
The German government strongly protested, saying it was an attempt to influence the German general election.

German government spokesman Christian Hoffman held a briefing and said it was clear Musk was attempting to influence the German general election.
In other words, he will be authorized to vote for a party monitored by intelligence authorities over allegations of far-right extremist links.

Germany is scheduled to hold a general election on February 23 next year as the coalition government under Prime Minister Olaf Scholz collapses.
The Alternative for Germany party now ranks second in the polls, but major German parties have declared they will not stand in solidarity with them at the federal level.
