How is the situation near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong now?

[Reporter]
Yes, after the arrest warrant for President Yoon was issued, there is a lot of tension around his residence.

There are no investigators yet to execute the warrant.

Since the arrest warrant was issued, people who call for or oppose impeachment continue to gather in front of the residence.

All of them stayed in front of the residence all night, and the number of people is still increasing little by little, but the police have separated the two sides with a fence.

When the warrant was issued, citizens who were calling for arrest cheered and welcomed, saying, "Democratic citizens won."

Members of conservative organizations were in turmoil waving Korean flags, but now they are gathering shouting slogans such as invalidation of warrants.

The two sides are confronting each other with an alley leading to the official residence in between.

How's the police move?

[Reporter]
Reporters are currently not allowed access to the residence,
Security seems to have become stricter, with the scope of police deployment expanding around
.

Police vans and buses are deployed on the shoulder of the road in front of the official residence to prepare for an emergency.

First of all, the roadway has been fenced off in preparation for the gathering of members of conservative groups, and we are focusing on maintaining order against the citizens gathered in front of the official residence.

Since the impeachment motion was passed, rallies have been held every day near President Yoon's residence.

As well as conservative group rallies, one-man demonstrations calling for the impeachment of President Yoon continued, the two sides often had friction.

The police are strengthening their security posture in case of a collision.
