Amid claims that Jeju Air's unreasonable flight schedule caused the disaster, Jeju Air said it would increase safety by reducing winter operations.

He also said he is preparing subsidies to support the lives of bereaved families.

Let's listen to CEO Kim Yi-bae's remarks.

[Kim Yi-bae / CEO of Jeju Air: We are preparing emergency subsidies with condolences to support the livelihood of the bereaved families. In addition, the compensation process is being discussed in detail with domestic and foreign insurance companies. As for safety measures, we will further strengthen aircraft inspection and make every effort to manage aircraft safety by expanding maintenance personnel. To the extent that passenger inconvenience can be minimized, we will first reduce the number of flights during the winter period until March by 10% to 15%, further strengthening the safety of the operation. We will do our best to restore trust by resolving the ongoing situation and strengthening safety measures.]
