2025.01.01 PM 02:07
This year, single households aged 65 or older can receive a basic pension if their monthly income is 2.28 million won or less.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare said it has decided to raise the basic pension selection standard this year by 150,000 won from last year.

In the case of married households, you can be selected as a basic pension recipient if it is less than 3,648,000 won.

The government requires that 70% of the elderly aged 65 or older receive basic pensions, and this time, in order to increase the number of eligible people, the deduction for education and medical expenses, which was limited to family members living together when calculating the recognized income, has been extended to non-living-in lineal existence and descendants.

This year, the number of basic pensioners is expected to reach 7.36 million and the budget is expected to reach 26 trillion won.
