Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok attended the presidential office in Yongsan and presided over the first meeting of senior secretaries of the new year amid controversy over the acceptance of his resignation the previous day.

At the meeting, Chief Chung explained the process of rejecting acting President Choi Sang-mok, who said he would accept his resignation the previous day, calling three more times and apologizing for making a wrong decision.

Participants in the meeting said they expressed their opinion that the resignation of senior staff members would leave a gap in state affairs, so they should carefully decide their future course.

At the same time, he was dissuaded from resigning, saying that he would join him if he quit, and it was reported that Chung decided to quit his job and carry out more work after much consideration.

The conflict between Acting President Choi and the Yongsan staff, triggered by the appointment of the Constitutional Court justice, seems to have been sealed even amid a backlash behind the scenes.

In the meantime, Choi Jin-woong, a former secretary of state affairs message who has served as "President Yoon's mouth" for more than a year in the presidential office, resigned and started supporting President Yoon's message.

Former secretary Choi predicted the full-fledged political development of President Yoon's SNS, saying that he is trying to release a lot of SNS messages to inform President Yoon's sincerity, including the reason for martial law.

However, there are critical opinions from the ruling party about President Yoon's letter to his supporters the previous day, and there are also concerns that it could stimulate extreme actions by strong supporters.
