The first ministerial-level face-to-face meeting between South Korea and the U.S. since the emergency martial law and impeachment will be held next week.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol and U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken will hold a meeting of South Korean and U.S. foreign ministers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building on the morning of the 6th.
At the meeting, he explained that discussions will take place on regional issues such as the Korea-U.S. alliance, cooperation between South Korea and the U.S. and North Korea, as well as global issues.
This is the first ministerial-level face-to-face contact between South Korea and the U.S. during the impeachment of the president and the prime minister after President Yoon Suk Yeol declared an emergency martial law on the 3rd of last month.
