When the court rejected the objection filed by President Yoon Suk Yeol to disallow him from executing the arrest warrant, President Yoon immediately expressed regret.Yoon Kap-geun, a lawyer representing the president
Yoon, said the Seoul Western District Court did not notify the applicant, President Yoon, of the dismissal of the objection, nor explained the reason, and expressed deep regret over the court's method of notification.
He stressed that the purpose of the objection is not to allow arrest and search, and that the rejection of the objection does not mean that the warrant is legal.
He added that he would consider whether to appeal again to the Supreme Court after finding out the reason for the dismissal.
Earlier, President Yoon strongly protested and filed an objection when the court issued an arrest warrant and ruled out the application of Articles 110 and 111 of the Criminal Procedure Act, which stipulates that investigative agencies can search for military secrets or confidential in the duties of public officials only when the person in charge permits them.
