"The National Police Agency's National Police Agency, a legal flaw in the arrest warrant of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit."

2025.01.06 PM 01:00
It was found that the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters was entrusted with the execution of arrest warrants by the high-ranking government official's Criminal Investigation Office, which is difficult to follow due to legal flaws.

Rep. Yoon Gun-young, a secretary of the Democratic Party of Korea who belongs to the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, told reporters today (6th) after a meeting with Woo Jong-soo, head of the noodle division.

Lawmaker Yoon explained that if the National Forensic Service follows the official letter of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, it could lead to abuse of authority, and that the warrant should be executed under the direction of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit within the framework of the Joint Investigation Headquarters.

He also said it is practically difficult to re-execute the warrant today.

At the same time, Kook Soo-bon added that he is determined to investigate President Yoon and execute arrest warrants, and that if the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit does not think it will investigate properly, he will transfer the case again and thoroughly investigate it.

Lawmaker Yoon went on to say that he had heard from officials of the National Assembly that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit was virtually unwilling to execute the warrant, showing sincerity in the execution of the first arrest warrant on the 3rd.

Specifically, a high-ranking official of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit said, "There is no plan to execute the warrant today," and during the execution of the warrant, the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit took a long time and expressed reluctance to arrest the security officials on the spot.
