As the smog effect is added to the atmospheric congestion, the concentration of ultra-fine dust is high in the metropolitan area and across the country.

It seems that caution will be needed by this afternoon.

Ultra-fine dust will gradually be resolved as the strong cold flows inland overnight.

However, cold wave warnings have been issued in northern Gyeonggi Province and inland Gangwon Province as temperatures are expected to drop significantly.

The fermentation time is 9 p.m. tonight, and special attention should be paid to the rapidly falling temperature.

Currently, the concentration of ultrafine dust in Jeju Island has soared to the level of 'very bad', and most parts of the country except Gangwon and Sejong are showing the level of 'bad'.

However, as cold air comes down from the north in the future, air quality across the country will gradually recover to "normal" levels in the afternoon due to smooth air diffusion.

Today's daytime temperature will be similar to yesterday, but the cold wind will blow and feel cold.

Mid-day temperatures in Seoul are expected to be 4 degrees and Daejeon 7 degrees.

After that, the temperature will drop sharply again from tomorrow.

In particular, on Thursday, the morning temperature in Seoul will plunge to minus 12 degrees Celsius, with the strongest cold wave this winter.

In addition, heavy snow of up to 40cm is expected to fall on the west coast in the cold wave.

For the time being, you should be careful even with strong winds.

Currently, strong wind warnings are in place for Jeollanam-do and 5 degrees in the West Sea, and wind warnings are in place for the far south of Jeju Island and the West Sea.

While a preliminary wind and waves warning is in effect for other seas, please pay special attention to safety for ships sailing or operating.
