Medical student group "Submit to leave of absence this year"...the possibility of missing a freshman class

Medical students who left school in protest of the government's policy to increase medical schools are expected to continue taking a leave of absence this year following last year.

The Korean Medical University and Medical School Student Association announced that they will continue the struggle by submitting a leave of absence in 2025.

The Medical Association explained that it has discussed ways to fight for the past six weeks and decided to submit this year's leave of absence at an extraordinary general meeting held on the 4th.

It was also resolved that units or grades that could not be submitted to the leave of absence would participate in the struggle with equivalent actions,
In the case of schools that are not allowed to take a break for three consecutive semesters of
or freshmen in 25th grade who are not allowed to take a break for one semester of the first year, it is expected to use methods such as skipping classes.

The Medical Association explained that the detailed fighting methods and timelines for each school should be referred to the guidance of the student council or TF in the school.

In November last year, the Medical Association held a general meeting involving representatives from 40 medical school student associations and representatives from each grade across the country and decided to continue the struggle against the government this year.
