Israeli bus shooting in West Bank... Three dead, seven injured.

2025.01.06 PM 10:38
Three Israelis have been killed and seven wounded in a shooting targeting Israeli buses in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

Local authorities say a bus along a national highway was shot by gunmen near the town of Khdumim, a Jewish settlement in the northern West Bank, on the morning of the 6th.

Two women in their 60s and a man in his 40s were killed in the shooting, and the bus driver in his 60s is said to be in critical condition among the seven injured.

Israeli forces have imposed a blockade on the area, believing at least two suspects have fled to a nearby Palestinian village.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to find both the shooter and those behind him and bring him to justice.

Hamas said it was a "heroic response to the occupiers' crimes" but did not claim responsibility for the shooting.

More than 800 Palestinians and dozens of Israelis have been killed in a surge in violence in the West Bank since the Gaza war began on October 7, 2023.
