The preparation date for the first hearing of the impeachment trial against Prime Minister Han Deok-soo will be held on the 13th.

The Constitutional Court said it has designated the first hearing preparation date for Prime Minister Han's impeachment trial as 4 p.m. on the 13th and notified Prime Minister Han and the National Assembly.

The Constitutional Court is determined to put President Yoon's impeachment trial first, but the impeachment case of Prime Minister Han is also seen as an expression of his willingness to speed up as controversy continues over the quorum of the acting president's impeachment.

Earlier at the end of last month, the National Assembly passed an impeachment motion against the prime minister on the grounds of aiding and abetting the rebellion of the emergency martial law and refusing to appoint a constitutional judge.

However, since Han is the acting president, he applied for a power dispute trial and a suspension of the effect, saying that a quorum of "more than two-thirds of the lawmakers in wealth" such as the impeachment of the president should be applied.
