"North Korea is preparing to deploy 250 new mobile launchers."

2025.01.07 PM 06:49
North Korea's move to actually deploy 250 new tactical ballistic missile launchers, which it vowed to deploy to the front last year, has been spotted.

Kang Dae-sik, a member of the National Assembly's National Defense Committee, said he received a response from the Defense Intelligence Headquarters that they are closely monitoring the situation to prepare for the operation of related ballistic missiles under the cooperation of South Korea and the U.S.

It is known that the launcher can be equipped with four missiles per unit, so that if all 250 are in operation, it can fire 1,000 missiles at the same time.

Earlier, in August last year, North Korea held an event to deliver 250 launchers for new tactical ballistic missiles produced at a military factory to border troops.

At the time, the intelligence authorities dismissed the missile supply and demand capabilities, but predicted that if the launcher is actually deployed at the front, it could affect the Chungcheong area, but there are concerns that North Korea could significantly consume our air defense assets if it mixes conventional missiles and nuclear weapons.
