Ukrainian forces say they have struck Russian command posts in Kursk, western Russia.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement that it had targeted Russian command posts near the town of Bellaya, southeast of Kursk.

At the same time, he explained that this is essential for the operation of Ukrainian forces fighting in Kursk.

It did not say whether it used Western-backed long-range missiles in the attack.

The General Staff also said 94 clashes had occurred in Kursk in the past day.

In the meantime, the Russian military said it was continuing to repel Ukrainian forces in Kursk, claiming that it had won six regional battles, including Souza.
