Ukrainian President Zelenskyy's approval rating continues to fall amid the nearly three-year war in Ukraine.
According to AFP, a recent poll released by the International Institute for Sociology (KIIS) showed confidence in President Zelensky at 52%.
In March 2022, at the beginning of the war, the credibility, which reached 90%, has almost halved.
In March 2022, only 7% of respondents said they did not trust President Zelensky, but the survey jumped to 39%.
"The weakening of trust in President Zelensky is clearly reducing the potential and influence he has as a public figure," said Anton Hrushetskyi, executive director of KIIS. "It is a fatal blow to the presidential system itself."
President Zelenskyy's five-year term ended in May last year, but he has not held a presidential election due to martial law.
Because of this, Russia insists that Zelensky, whose term has expired, is no longer a legitimate president.
