Authorities have launched an investigation after two bodies were found in landing gear after an airline plane landed in the United States.
According to foreign media such as The Associated Press and Bloomberg, two bodies were found in the landing gear storage area of low-cost airline JetBlue, which was being inspected at Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida on the night of the 6th local time.
The plane was an Airbus A320 that departed from Kennedy International Airport in New York and arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at 11 p.m. the night before.
The bodies are all believed to be men and have not yet been identified.
The landing gear storage space where the body was found is part of the fuselage in which the wheel part folds right after takeoff of the aircraft.
JetBlue said, "We are investigating how they approached the aircraft and their identity," adding, "We will work closely with the authorities to find out the issue."
According to the aircraft tracking website FlightAware, the plane reportedly traveled through Kingston, Jamaica and Salt Lake City, Utah, before flying from New York to Florida.
Bodies were often found on the landing gear side of the aircraft.
Last month, a body was found in the landing gear storage space of a United Airlines flight that left Chicago and landed in Hawaii, and in the past, there have often been cases of sneaking into landing gear to enter the country.
Airplanes' landing gear storage space creates an environment where it is usually difficult for humans to survive due to a lack of oxygen and a sharp drop in temperature due to high altitude during operation, but there are cases where they miraculously survive.
