Expectations for Hyun Bin's Ahn Jung-geun...Harbin sells to 117 countries worldwide

The movie "Harbin," starring actor Hyun Bin, has maintained its top spot at the box office for 14 consecutive days, continuing its success in Korea. It also proved its high interest abroad, posting sales results in 117 countries worldwide.

The film "Harbin" depicts a breathtaking pursuit and doubt between those heading to Harbin for one purpose in 1909. It depicted the stories of independence activists with dense narratives and overwhelming visual beauty.

Director Woo Min-ho and Hive Media Corp., which has produced all the films from "Insiders," once again joined forces to present them. Actors Hyun Bin, Park Jung-min, Cho Woo-jin, Jeon Yeo-bin, Park Hoon and Yoo Jae-myung appeared, and Lee Dong-wook made a special appearance.

Harbin, which has achieved global sales in 117 countries around the world, including the U.S., Japan, France, Taiwan, Australia, and Spain, has confirmed its expansion to the U.S. on January 3, Indonesia on January 1, Malaysia on January 2, Australia/New Zealand on January 23, and Taiwan on January 29.

Other countries will also confirm their release schedules sequentially. This achievement is meaningful just because historical materials attributed to Korea's unique characteristics were sold to 117 countries.

CJ ENM's overseas distributor said, "The expectations for director Woo Min-ho's new work, the appearance of top actors such as Hyun Bin, and the fact that he was invited to major overseas film festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival and was recognized for his work seems to have attracted overseas buyers."

The domestic response is also hot. Harbin, which has been at the top of the box office for 14 consecutive days, ranked first in movie reservation rates today (8th), the third week of its release. The cumulative audience is expected to exceed 4 million during the week, with 3,778,075.
