The People's Power and the government have decided to designate Monday, the 27th, as a temporary holiday before the weekend and Lunar New Year holidays.

Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the People's Power Policy Committee, said in a briefing on the results after the high-level party council for emergency economic stability that he expects positive effects such as boosting the domestic economy and boosting tourism.

He then stressed that he expects various effects such as the effect of diversifying traffic due to the expansion of the holiday period, and that he promises to look carefully to ensure that no people are excluded from the designation of temporary holidays.

The government also decided to hold weekly meetings on pending foreign economic issues, focusing on acting President Choi Sang-mok, and explained that it will establish a communication system with the U.S. at all levels to carry out all-round cooperation.

He said he expected the rise in the won-dollar exchange rate to be limited in the recent strong dollar, and that he would manage the market to remain stable in January-February, when major events such as the launch of the new Trump administration are concentrated.

At the National Assembly level, he said he agreed on the need to expedite legislation, including the revision of the Special Act on Semiconductors and the Capital Market Act, adding that he will actively explain the basic physical strength of the Korean economy and the government's efforts to respond to foreign governments and domestic and foreign investors.
